Random thought... So... About day two maybe three of this process, Michael Fortuna was out filling out all of the Red Cross paperwork and he was chatting with a woman. She was a very sweet lady and were exchanging stories. When they had finished their business, she came back over to him and gave him a pen to give to me to keep and use throughout this process... The pen is just one of those clicker type pens with hearts on it, but each time you click, it gives you the next part of the message... It reads trust real friends To always care To always share To always be there Throughout this process, there has been so much revealed through the flames that stole our home from us... We have met perfect strangers that have gone from random names and faces, to people who are all working together, hand in hand, side by side. People who were acquaintances have shared in our tears and extended their love, funds, food, homes, time, love, and shoulders for all of us. I have more real friends than I could have ever imagined. Thank you, dear random stranger for this pen that inspired these thoughts.... Hopefully, you will see this post and know that your thoughtful gesture accomplished exactly what you had in mind!
