Random thought for the night: I was thinking over a lot of the people Im close friends with now, and how we got there. And (with maybe a few exceptions to those from my childhood) almost all those bonds were formed because of tough times going on in one of our lives at that time, and us building up each other. It got me thinking, how God uses trials in our lives. At least, mine. I dont know about you, but its in the tough times that I feel closest to God. That can be a choice though. In hard times we can choose to run away from those we love and who love us, or cling to them and let God use them. See, God doesnt promise bad things wont happen. We live in a fallen world with sin and destruction. People are gunna die. Times are gunna suck. What God does promise, is He will work everything together for good to those that love Him and are called according to His purpose. Even bad things. This can come in many ways we dont expect, but seeing some of the relationships with others and with God that have been strengthened even in the hardest times reminds me of how good our Papa is. And that I know His love and I can trust Him. Whether times are good or bad right now, I pray we run in the right direction. Towards the God who loves us and towards people who will too.
