Rant #2 the other people I have been weeding out are those attacking Law Enforcement Officers. I work with these professionals day in and day out. While I understand that there are some bad apples out there they are a VAST minority in ther profession. These people go to work every day not knowing if they will come home at the end of the day. Yet every day they strap on their vest, buckle their belts, tie ther boots and say good bye to their families not knowing if they will return. They do this to protect you and I from the bad guys out there that wish you harm not because they enjoy writing tickets or arresting people. Yes it is a choice they make and I am glad they do. It is a tough job dealing with the people and situations they deal with day in and day out and I dont envy them in the least. If you think they are out there to harass you and write you tickets for speeding because they get off on it think again. They write that ticket while thinking of the last fatal accident they responded to where speed was the cause. They think about the person that was killed by the drunk driver not wow that was a rush. Most officers I know dont really enjoy paperwork. Social media is making things worse for the law enforcement community. Bad press is everywhere cops abusing their powers or over stepping their bounds. These people should be dealt with but to think that this is the norm is ludicrous. For every video out there that highlights a bad interaction how many good interactions go unnoticed because its not good news? Thank you to all my friends in our local law enforcement. Its been a tough year here locally suffering many losses. Thank you for everything you do for the members of our community to keep us safe.
