Rant: Ok, I have another one I need to talk about. It has to do with a couple of businesses that are closed. The first is the old Shortys bar. This place has been purchased back in May but the guy who did buy it is doing NOTHING with the property and it is constantly getting broken into by homeless and tweakers. People are going in and out during the middle of the day as if it were open again. I have made numerous complaint to the county as well as the owner but nothing is being done. The owner just wants to put up a fence with razor wire. WTF? All that fence is going to do is collect trash that blows through because of the speeding vehicles that drive by. The building is constantly getting tagged and looks like dookie, lol. My second complaint is the closed Cases liquors. This building has also been purchased and nothing is being done to it as well. The front window is busted and semi coverd by the realtors sign. People are constantly gping in and out of the side gate doing who knows what. These places are starting to look like areas of Antioch now. I thought Martinez was better than that? The city needs to start taking action to clean this up by getting ahold of these owners. Its getting close to election time for these council members, maybe if they take some time with this, maybe, just maybe they will get re-elected to sit around some more.
