Rant for the Day: I am so sick of people in high profile positions (ie Sarah Palin and Dr. Laura) not admitting they are wrong. All they seem to be interested in is damage control. Both these people (I wont say what I really want to call them) could use their situations for educating people about animals. They need to realize that because of their positions, their words and actions carry more weight that than of the average Joe, and due to that their words/actions can be very damaging. Additionally, because of their positions, they should be held to a higher standard. I have seen some of Palins supporters say that having her child step on the dog is wrong. On the other hand, there is that group I will call Palin sheeple who are so closed-minded that they can t see what the REAL issue is. They are saying it is because of politics. UGH. Animal abuse and cruelty know no boundaries-political, gender, social status, race, religion, nationality, profession, etc. A sign of courage in any person is to admit your wrong, and actually do something about it. These two women are seriously lacking in this quality. In the last 2 years of animal rescue I have seen more horrors than I had in my whole life up to beginning rescue. My page, my opinion
