Rant status #2: this incentive the government are trialing for mothers who Breastfeed. If you dont know, theyre offering 5x £40 vouchers for mothers who breastfeed their child instead of bottle feed; I think thats disgraceful. Its a way of emotionally blackmailing mothers into doing something they may not necessarily WANT to do. Okay, £200 is no lottery win, but for a single mother thats a lot of dosh; this could end up forcing poorer mothers into breastfeeding. If you have the financial stability to be able to turn the offer down, Im sure this wont affect you but a struggling family or single parent could find this an appealing offer, even if an unappealing cost. Dont agree with it, bad idea government. How about rewarding parents, instead, who look after their kids properly? Now theres a sensible idea, Cameron; Clegg.
