Rashmi is my part-time home worker. She had not been coming for a little over a week. I wondered what had happened. Yesterday when she came for work, she told me that one evening while returning home on her bicycle, she was knocked down by a speeding vehicle. She suffered some injuries and was unable to walk properly. She works in several houses in our society, mine being her first port of call. She told me that she got bored at home. Worse, she could not sleep properly. When I work, I get tired and I get sound sleep. Since I did not work, I did not feel sleepy. What she said was a revelation for me. She enjoyed doing her work. I wish everyone enjoyed his or her work like my home worker.
