Rathika Sitsabaiesan, Canadian Tamil MP speech in Canadian parliament on Tamil Heroes day 27.Nov. 2014 Mr Speaker Today I would like to point out two important events as Canadians of Tamil Heritage. Remembrance day and Tamil heroes day. This day symbolizes the beauty of life because we remember all those heroes who sacrificed their valuable lives for all of us to live in peace , dignity and freedom. We remember all those people in 2009 who caught in no fire zone in a situation of life over death. We remember ultimate sacrifice of all heroes who tried to save us so that we live in ultimate liberty and dignity. This month not only provide us remembrance and tribute to the heroes but also the lessons of the struggle for justice , peace and life without discrimination continuing for more than 60 years . Sadly I was born in the island nation of Sri Lanka as a child of war where discrimination , injustice against Tamil Ethnic minorities continuing and the people live there with fear and discrimination. Mr speaker we always remember all those heroes who put their lives on front line so that we live peacefully with dignity. Mr speaker let us work towards peace home and abroad.
