#RayRice was suspended for two games from the league for his involvement in his wifes, then GF, assault. What outraged people about this was that the video showed Ray Rice dragging her out of the elevator. What did you people think happened? Did you think she fainted and he was less then helpful? Wait....people were more upset that it was a two game ban, instead of the fact he knocked her out. But I digress. The video showed a fight between the two and Mr. Rice knocked her out. Ray Rice was charged and was given a program due to the lack of domestic abuse history. Believe it or not there are many programs that keep people out of jail and these programs can help right the ship, if they want to. Being thrown in jail may not always be the answer. Unfortunately people would rather put Ray Rice on trial in the court of public opinion, Defame his character and make sure justice is served. Crucify him, cries the crowd!! Ray Rice is no Jesus, but you get my point. Ray Rice made a mistake that will cost him more than he will ever know. He cannot out run(pun intended) this mistake and will need to move forward with his wife and family. It might be time to say goodbye to the NFL. I would not blame him because the vultures in the media, who have NO clue, would bury him every time he played. The interesting twist in this is his wifes response. She seems to take some of the responsibility for the fight. She is not playing the victim as it seems. I know that makes people mad, but nobody is talking about what led up to this or why it escalated to physical violence. Mr. Rice NEVER should have HIT her, but when tensions flair we tend to do things that we would not normally do. If you think you can control yourself in all situations and keep your cool, I would love to see you walk on water. Again, I DO NOT support what Mr. Rice did, but I do support his wifes stance with her husband. If they are working on their issues as a couple and as a family, should we forgive what happened and help encourage them in love instead of hate? I for one am willing to let go and pray for them. I would love to see them repair a marriage that needs it, but they will not be able to if we keep tearing it down. She forgave him, so why cant we? So all you people out there that have no sin, cast the first stone. If Mr. Rice and his wife do not have Jesus as their Savior, I pray they do soon. I agree with the punishment the #BaltimoreRavens and the NFL took, but feel that it was mishandled by the NFL. Ray McDonald, a DE for SF, played against the Dallas Cowboys a few days after beating his GF. Wheres the outrage on this? Many other players have done similar crimes and little outcry. If #MikeVick was caught on film at the dog fights, would he be playing in the NFL now?
