Re: Cleansing and Journaling... One of the things I teach as a nutritionist and holistic health and Master NLP Practitioner, is journaling. If you can sit in quietude that works too but getting the questions and worries, and writing affirmations and gratitude, out on paper, can do wonders. Having a support team, researching information and reaching out is very important and at the same time, what I believe it really boils downs to is, its how YOU feel and what YOU believe about WHAT YOU are doing that will make all the difference to the success of the outcome. If you are creative draw pictures and if you are more left brain, make charts and maps. Try asking a questions and then tuning into your heart or higher self, not your brain, for the answer. I once had a craving for a hot dog on a cleanse day. I havent eaten a hot dog since high school and I am now in my 40s! When I asked my heart (and my higher self) what the craving was about, I had a memory of a birthday party from when I was 8 years old. What this told me was that I was longing for friendship and social gathering, which, because I had just moved to a new city, wasnt happening. This was my own interpretation and it really helped me forgive myself for how I was feeling. I decided that day to get more involved with my new community and make new friends. Remember to plan things like a massage or plan creative projects, hobbies, on your cleanse days to nourish your soul and to fill in time when you would be planning meals and eating. Ask for support from your family and friends. Keep a journal or make an art / vision journal and make it fun! This will all anchor into the subconscious so that when cleanse days come up again, you will remember that it is fun and be more motivated to get them done.
