Re: Fiverr & The New New World Order The following submission cruelly picks on little Fiverr (i.e. the what people will do for $5 website) in order to explain that in the New New World Order, that is to say the more advanced and highly evolved NWO which is competing with the less advanced and less evolved NWO, human lives rate higher as a matter of both business and government policy, than short term company profits. I recently deleted my Fiverr Account. I had made a video for my Fiverr Gig and submitted it for approval. It was rejected. The below is my comment (copy/pasted with minor editing which would be highlighted in italics if Facebook Status Updates provided that option) from the Fiverr Customer Support Ticket Satisfaction Survey they love to have you do. My Rating: Bad, Im unsatisfied My Comment: Deleted my Fiverr account as a result of this. The reasons I received for the video not being accepted were not relevant yet I was given no recourse to follow up. Your rejection notification was sent from a no reply email address with no other form of contact cited. If, Id been given the option to respond to the reasons cited for rejecting the video so that I might clarify exactly what changes needed to be made, I may still be with Fiverr. As it was I had no understanding whatsoever of what changes needed to be made for the video to be accepted. I was left only with the feeling that Id be chasing this around in circles. This disempowerment of customers in the name of improved efficiencies is a nonsense. Ebay practices a similar business model where as per their Ts & Cs customer accounts can be cancelled without citing reasons. Scroll down to the comment by, ThomBob dated October 27, 2006 12:21 PM, on the linked article below for more on that. This sort of business practice is all about control whereby the customers business becomes totally dependant upon their market host/provider who can change the goal posts, game plan, rules and rates at any time (i.e. dictate marketplace and trading terms). Its sad to see Fiverr go this route. To my mind youre now part and parcel of the shameful Neoliberal regime. Marx was right. Capitalism will destroy itself because it no longer has any respect for its own liberal ideology or free market principles. We fought Hitler and Japan to be free of Fascism & Imperialism yet through corporate divestment of personal accountability some institutions have inadvertently adopted both abominations! BTW, Im not a Communist or a Socialist. Im a Capitalist. I also happen to believe in socially responsible business and government. My advice to Fiverr is, take a good long look at your business model, do due diligence on your business advisors/consultants and re-evaluate your values and responsibilities as a business who operates in the Free World. So then, the above was my comment and written after having sought to no avail, a more relevant channel to contact Fiverr to address the specific reasons for my video having been rejected. You see, this comment, as Ive mentioned was my response to a Fiverr customer support ticket. The ticket in question was being handled by a Fiverr customer support representative with whom Id had positive contact over the course of our correspondence. To my knowledge this particular Fiverr customer support rep had nothing to do with rejecting my video or citing the reasons for my video having been rejected. No, my video was rejected by the anonymous face of uncontactable, Fiverr Editors. The support ticket was however regarding said video (prior to it having been reviewed by the editors) and consequently my closest point of reference and contact to Fiverr, the arts industrial complex. The reason Ive bothered to subject you the reader to this drole, really uninteresting information? Okay, so imagine you are the unfortunate Fiverr customer support rep handling this ticket. Perhaps youre a student or struggling independent artist trying to make ends meet. Youve been lucky enough to land a paying job at Fiverr. After having had positive contact with me (the customer) during the course of this ticket you get given the above rating and comment. How does it make you feel? Are you Fiverrs fall person? Do you get reprimanded or lose your job for losing an account worth, I might add, well over $5 a year?! Alternatively, are you an intelligent artist, perceive truth in my comment and feel conflicted? Worse still, are you a sensitive artist with issues and kill yourself? Do I have blood on my hands cause Fiverr, the arts industrial complex, has given me no options but to vent at an innocent? Finally, which route will Fiverr choose? Will Fiverr heed my advice and make a conscious decision to be part of the New New World Order rather than the alternative or will Fiverr continue to practice streamlining efficiencies propagated I suspect by ever-so-helpful corporate consultants bent on bringing business value to their clients. Its both a shame and an anathema. Since when does the concept of business value mean driving short term profits to illustrate a perception of effectiveness rather than nurturing longer term growth or retention of human assets and my case in point, customer accounts? - ThomBob N.B.
