It will probably be sold for a song to a foreign investor who will only have to wait until the drought breaks. Most other countries dont allow foreigners, especially foreign government corporations, to buy land. The ANZ bank is not alone in this activity against Aussie farmers. The ANZ and the other banks were guaranteed by Australian taxpayers in the Global Financial Crisis. Cant they do the same for Aussie farmers who are caught in a record drought? The bank bosses earn millions a year. How can they sleep?
