Read for a Laugh. All my friends & family know I am terrified of mice & rats. Yes as an educated women I know they should pose no real danger. Its a phobia for a reason people! So last week Taylor & I pull into the driveway at night after swim practice. There in my spot mouse still hanging & wiggling in his mouth is our black cat Alice. Yes he is a male cat names Alice thats a story for another day. Taylor says maybe its dead. As if he heard her through the van the cat cominces in dropping the mouse to the ground swatting at it to make it run only to pounce on it again. My heart is racing as I imagine that mighty mouse may posses magical powers I am not aware of and will find a way out of the cats clutches and into the vehicle to get me! Calm down I tell myself till it hits me I have to leave the van to get into the house. The cat is suddenly out of view. I look at Taylor and tell her I am gonna make a run for it. She says Mom the door handle is broken remember you have to open it from the outside to let me out. Shit!! So I say ready set go I leap out of the van dash over to her side then start at a dead run towards safety other wise known as the house. Screw the kid she is almost 17 and we are talking about a mouse! Suddenly I am face down on the ground and I hear the teen laughing at me. What the hell did I trip on I ask myself as I start to get up forgetting momentarily that I was running for my life. Before I start to get up I turn my face to the side and inches away from my face is Alice with mouse larger then life wiggling inches from my face. I dont recall much after that other then Dwayne telling me I screamed so loud he jumped off the couch and outside onto the porch to see who was being killed outside and he said I flew past him at a speed that would have won the Olympic god medal! Taylor said she had no clue I could run that fast. They seemed to get a lot of enjoyment from the whole ordeal while I was left traumatised from the whole exsperence. Anyway since it was very entertaining to them I know a few of my friends would love reading the horror. Sure the poor cat was thinking whats wrong mommy look what I caught just for you. Good kitty glad you are the great black death to the mice of our neighborhood just dont bring them to me!!!
