Read it, my son was over 100 kU/L , IgE levels for milk beyond severe, so tell me one thing that just does not sit right about everything I am reading that had been placed in the tabloid of Staten Island Advance, now that I have the time to read it. Since I myself did not spend not one second away from Joseph.... If someone is stating that they are searching for answers, and claims to be a caregiver of an anaphylactic child, well that should not be very hard to understand. Those whom had been part of his day, already know that answer, as to what happened and what did not take place.. period. If you are a full time parent with a child with such allergies, tell me this, what happened to the awareness. From the single parent to the searching, garbage and cover up and exploiting my son. God help them all. I will pray for their souls. High risk, does NOT change, the avoidance aspect is always first priority. If within, reach of the allergen and on a holiday that each kid is grabbing in their bags before they reach home with whatever it is on there hands, ringing each same door bell, tell me as a parent, WHY WOULD THAT CHILD NOT HAVE AN EPI PEN RIGHT NEXT TO HIM... We are the keepers of our children, the answers we are the ones whom only know, is based on our awareness and responsibility to such. Never take the chances, especially when you know that the air of itself can bring those allergies into the lungs, when in the same room. If you know that it was just once an issue, and your child had a reaction, that allow, is enough. Always be prepared, seek knowing CPR, seek calling 911 whom can direct you to opening the airways on the phone, ALWAYS when you know you are going to have such substance, within the same room as your child, MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE THEIR MEDS right next to them. Life threatening allergies, take a second to set in, that cannot be repaired. When Joseph was first found to have these allergies I had every single person that would be of his care take CPR classes. Yep, I did not even care, if they had been insulted if I told them it is a requirement to being alone with him. Grandma and Grandpas everyone.. So please from the bottom of my heart. Read this article if you work in schools, or around a child who has food allergies. It only takes a minute, to save someones life. NEVER take chances... Russian roulette is a game that comes to mind. When we are not aware, and not prepared with meds, it is like leaving a gun on the floor of the room, and giving one bullet to each that enters that room, it just takes one child to put that bullet in the gun. Just one... would you leave the room or be prepared to make sure that never is around your child. I know I always have, and always will spread the awareness. Same thing... cupcake and a loaded gun... understand Someone in the hospital asked me, a parent during the time that my son is laying in a hospital bed. Their child having the same allergies, they asked me. Jules but is it not enough to just give benadryl? , my heart in my throat, I told them to get aware. No and as a parent, find it your duty to becoming aware. It is your childs life. God Bless you all... Take the MOMENTS TO READ THIS>>> IT MIGHT SAVE A LIFE
