Read the article below and see what you come away with.....Is it just me or is it coincidental that Cole Sigmon was the only applicant initially questioned during the September meeting? Going back through the Minutes of the September 9, 2014 meeting, the Board rubber stamped the approval of a Braillist Assistant. Is anyone on the Board truly involved enough to know that Lincoln County Schools does not even have a Braillist on staff, contrary to the obligations they are binded to fulfill. Who is this said person supposed to be assisting? Why was this position never posted until September 29, 2014 and only after they were forced in a legal way to do so. Keep in mind, none of this was ever questioned nor was anyones vote ever persuaded on this issue of the Braillist. Is it because this issue wasnt directly related to a personal vendetta? Furthermore, the integrity of a parent has to be questioned anytime they truly feel their child was assaulted, yet they have reservations about prosecution simply because they dont want to ruin a persons career. As a parent, if I truly felt my child was being assaulted I would have sought out evidence to not only prosecute the case in full but to also ensure other kids did not suffer the same abusive behavior.
