Read the end first. I started the day not being able to find the shirt needed for the faculty photo. Then, I stepped off the curb in front of my house, distracted, and found myself strewn across the street, lunch, keys, work bag, my favorite pants torn, knee bleeding. Wow. Should have packed it in right there. This after a long day and night beforehand. Picture day, evacuation drill...seriously? Kids today were amazing! Parent emails so grateful for the love and work I do with their kids, volunteers helped out, amazing friendships amongst colleagues, coming home to a kind and loving husband. He said when I left, make it a great day :) It made itself a great day.
