Read this First .. Veg and Non Veg Why do some people say its ok to kill plants for the purpose of consumption as food but object to doing the same with animals? Who decides which life is more worthy? Each person has to decide for themselves. There are people who refuse to eat even plants that have been killed, living only off fruits that have already fallen from trees and plants (Fruitarianism) others eat only plant products, others eat animal products but not meat, others eat fish but not chicken, others will eat birds, but not mammals. There are even cultures which will eat human flesh (at least on occasion). So, where should we draw the line in terms of what life we value? . The argument that plants feel pain is not based in reality. Unlike animals, plants do not have brains; nor do they have nervous systems - both of which are necessary for emotion and feeling. Animals are sentient. They have an internal, subjective experience of their own lives and of the world around them. They are selves, not things. They experience pain and pleasure, suffering and joy, frustration and satisfaction, and fear and comfort. Sentient creatures value their own lives absolutely. The mere fact that a creature is sentient is sufficient to make a moral claim on us: we should not use, torture, dominate, or kill a sentient creature unless we have a moral justification for doing it. What reason could there be for thinking otherwise? Plants are not sentient. They do not have an internal, subjective experience of their own lives and of the world around them. They are not selves. They do not value their own lives. They make no moral claims on us. Theres no evidence for thinking that plants are sentient. The Bare Possibility that plants are sentient (How can we be sure they dont [feel pain]? Maybe they feel pain in an entirely different way that we dont understand.) is not interesting. Maybe rocks are sentient! Maybe clouds are! Everything we know about plants and rocks and clouds says they arent sentient. Its funny that no one worries about whether plants are sentient until they are trying to justify doing horrible things to animals. So to sum up, a plant doesnt have the ability to move away from a threat, hence no central nervous system, hence no pain or other feelings. In this light, to me, attempting to equate plants with animals seems like a pointless endeavor. I recognize the substantial differences between sentient beings and non-sentient life. When it comes to my nourishment, I choose the lesser of two evils; therefore, I am vegan. Rest its your choice This video speaks up all.. Do these Animal dont have Right to Live as we Humans do ?
