Personally for me skepticism is a social justice issue. Anti-fluoridation activists harm kids and poor people. Anti-GMO activists threaten food security. Alt Med proponents bilk dollars from sick people and delay or prevent real treatments. The belief that rhino horn makes your penis hard has had obvious disastrous consequences for rhinos. Scams and harmful claims about in this word. Skepticism may not be synonymous with any particular social justice movement (or any particular interpretation of any particular movement or idea)...but it is a subject of central importance to justice. #skeptic
