Reader question: How do you deal with yeast diaper rashes? We have no thrush symptoms and have been battling the rash for over two weeks. Weve been using Nystatin as directed, have suspended using cloth diapers and only use wet paper towel with tap water for cleaning and we always dry thoroughly. We generally change diapers every three hours, except for at night, when there may be up to a five hour gap between changes. I want to give more naked bum time, but am concerned that baby could spread the rash from touching it and then sucking fingers. What else could I be doing?
