Jack mentions four tests that can help us weed through our own emotions, the enemys rant, & pressure from others so we can hone in on our good Lords voice alone. The Bible - its our benchmark.... unfailing, firm foundation. If the voice goes against the Word of God.... swing the gong. Its Character - sometimes our experiences wont mirror whats in the Bible, but can we know His character always aligns with it. Gods Words bring hope, not despair! Even in death! The enemy will accuse and condemn to ROB us of our faith and hope! Its Fruit - You will see the fruit of what voice you are following displayed in your life. Good fruit or bad? Pay attention.... consider documenting your journey in a journal. Its Difference - God is biblically famous for doing things we wouldnt expect. But by examining the character and considering all things & holding onto what is good... we can know. Did the cross make sense to anyone in Jesus day? --biggest example ever.... no, everyone rejected what Jesus was allowing to happen. As a prophet, you need to know your God in hearing His voice because you may likely have to stand on that hidden truth that youve put through your battery of tests so you can move in Gods direction even when everyone else opposes you.
