Reading some health care related articles this evening - many of you know about the outrageous medical device tax inside of ObamaCare. But did you know that the FDA is interpreting the language of the law broadly (no surprise) and planning to tax health-related mobile apps and smart-phone linked sensors as medical devices. If you buy in to the philosophy that you tax what you want to get rid of and incentivize what you want more of, this is absolutely absurd. It is even said that WebMD and the Nike FuelBand app could be lumped into this category as well if they make medical recommendations. If this doesnt make your blood boil, Im not sure what will!
