Reading the post from arron made me think there is a lot we take - TopicsExpress

Reading the post from arron made me think there is a lot we take for granted. Will that still be the same after Thursday. I have still not made up my mind. The heart says yes,the head says no. The no side have spent the time trying to scare me into staying together,n the yes side try to push the patriotic button as the only way to go. I dont believe either side have given me any decisive reason to vote. I think to me the only difference if we go yes is we as Scotland would get who we vote for. Where at the moment we get who England vote for. That said what about Shetland ! They would get who mainland Scotland vote for. Does that then mean Shetland will ask for independence, and take the oil revenues with them ! I believe if its yes we will retain the pound, its the only thing that makes sense. Some businesss will leave others will prosper. Things will be more expensive for a time, we may even go through an another recession, I for one dont want that. Surely as sane people we can come up with another way of better representation for everyone. I am Scottish no one can change that. But I have no problem saying Scottish first British second. And Im sure our countrymen in England Wales n Northern Ireland would have no problem saying the same. As a nation we have been through a lot of conflicts to preserve our way of life. We have all lost family in these conflicts. Im not sure if voting for independence is what our kindred fought for. If we can change our representation within Britain would this not work better for us. Politicians will always tell us what they want us to hear, whilst weaving there schemes behind closed doors. This will be the same whether we have independence or not. Do we as a people not need to take more control of our politicians to achieve what we want, not what they tell us we want. Anyway all that said Im still not sure.
