Reading this morning from Isaiah 21-23 Isaiah 23:8-9 "Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth? (9) The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth." In our day and time there are many that think they are above the law, creating empires around them hoping to secure their fortunes. They walk with such pride and arrogance, but the Lord will only allow this self willed pride to last so long until He brings it down. God is God, He is the absolute ruler and no one has gained anything without His purpose or provision. Our Lord will be held in honor when all else has failed.
