Ready for more Starbucks news? Well, Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz is co writing a book about veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. For Love of Country: What Our Veterans Can Teach Us About Citizenship, Heroism, and Sacrifice. The book will be available at company operated stores from Nov 4 - Jan 5, while supplies last. Starbucks will donate the profits from the sale of the book to ONWARD VETERANS, an initiative to support and empower veterans and their families. Howard has earlier this year, donated $30 million for research into post-traumatic stress syndrome and brain trauma. Why did you read this far? Because YOU WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THE MATCHING STARBUCKS CARD! Thats why! There is a Veterans Starbucks card that will also be released. It is a great looking card. Says DUTY, HONOR, SACRIFICE. But MORE importantly, Starbucks has pledged to donate $5 for EVERY Veterans card that is loaded, to Onward Veterans.
