Reagan ended the Cold War without going nuclear, something the bubble-headed hippie holdovers of my day were weeping about the day after he was elected (Were all gonna DIE in a nuclear exchange, man!!!!). He didnt NEED a nuclear war, he just made the point that we would, to paraphrase Khrushchev, bury them economically. We could have, and everyone knew it, so Gorby had no choice but to tear down this wall. Fast forward to 2008. Dear Leader has been busy destroying our economy in SO many ways, everyone knows we are now too weak to pull off the Reagan policy, so..... Vlad has Barrys number, and we have Russian rockets downing commercial airliners. Everyone still happy with Hope & Change? There are consequences to our elections, far beyond ObamaPhones, ObamaCare, throwing the borders open to every person that can crawl across the threshold and the final destruction of every vestige of racism in our society (as discerned by our Racist in Chief and his minion Attorney General Holder). I, for one, am NOT feeling a bit safer now. Worse, Im feeling LESS safe as its apparent we have nobody at the helm who has the guts to handle the bullies that run half (or more) of the countries of the world. Kumbaya, baby!!
