Reagan started it, but it took a Texan to really bring America to its knees: W failed in his first duty, to keep us safe at home, then started a trillion-dollar war, and then another trillion-dollar war, and then a trillion-dollar giveaway to Big Pharma, and a $5-trillion tax cut -- all of which exploded annual deficits, doubled the national debt, and brought the global economy to the brink of a chain-reaction meltdown requiring many more trillions to prop up Wall Street. In just the last year of the Bush catastrophe, 5 million Americans lost their jobs, we almost lost the entire auto industry, the stock market lost half of its value, and more than 5 million American families lost their homes. You know, just a little reminder as the GOP continues to vilify Barack Obama and threatens to do massive damage to the U.S. and world economy with government shutdown and debt ceiling sabotage. Domestic terrorism.
