Really fun, highly interactive meeting tonight. We began with a review of the last two weeks (which started with a meeting on biblical gender roles -- attended only by women, btw, then progressed last week into a discussion on various methods of biblical interpretation vis-a-vis those gender roles -- which took up about half of tonights meeting) and ended with a vote from the attendees to take up the topic of Evolutionism next week. Next week (Art/Soc, 2203, 5:00-6:15 PM) I will facilitate an interactive slide presentation introducing three Christian views on creation: 1) Young Earth Creationism 2) Old-Earth (or Progressive) Creationism (a.k.a. Concordism or Constructive Integrationism) 3) Theistic Evolutionism (a.k.a. Evolutionary Creationism).
