Really upset today. Speaking to an old friend who is a 74 year old pensioner. Him and his partner booked a Christmas Lunch at The Brightwater, Weatherspoons public house in Shirley. Being the old school he paid the £60 up front. Two days before Chistmas he phoned to cancel their meal as she had fallen and broken her wrist and had developed pneumonia and he was suffering from a chest infection. Had he done like most and just paid the £10 each deposit that would have been all he would have lost. After speaking to Weatherspoons they told him his money was not refundable. Had he just pay the deposit His loss would have been £20 instead of £60. Sad I think how about you. Christmas Goodwill to all men, a genuine case. What is your opinion on this
