Reasons to come to New Years Swing Fling 2014 - The Competitions! If the 50 hours of social dancing over 5 nights is not enough to satisfy you then maybe you want to come to NYSF 2014 to compete...If you do here are some things we do a bit differently.... 1. Our competition mantra is to Reward swing over the show 2. Each main JnJ Division (Nov,Int, Adv and All Star) has spotlighted finals, so everyone will get their moment to shine.... (See last years Novice JnJ below) 3. We sign in all competitors 15 minutes before your heat starts so that we can keep on schedule and so the Emcee (Me) doesnt have trouble with long Russian names that I have zero chance of getting correct... 4. The hilarious All European JnJ (minimum 5% swing content required!) This starts off with everyone randomly partnered up,16 couples then make the final which takes place at 1.30am on New Years Day in the Battle which then gets whittled down to 2 couples who dance off for the title of being the 1st JnJ champions of 2015 (Winners get passes to UK WCS Champs) 5. Our competition schedule is compiled in 15 min segments so that each competitor knows the exact time they are dancing at, Prelims for every comp are posted online. Our competitions run on time! 6. Jill and Jack, Enough said... Prizes for the best dress leader and follower... 7. Finalists and scores are posted online and go live as soon as the awards are announced... 8.
