Recent Obituaries Kara Leigh Gray December 4, 1984 - January 20, 2014 Kara Leigh Gray, 29 of Crimora, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at UVA as a result of an auto accident. She was born on December 4, 1984, in Waynesboro to Rodney and Teresa Morris Gray. In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter, Grace Shifflett; a sister Nicole and her husband Jason; nieces, MaKenzie and Brenna Robertson. Grandmother, Patsy B. Root, Uncle Brent Morris, Aunts Carolyn Nicholls, Jackie Estes, Diane Marion, Connie and Alice Gray. Kara had many cousins, including special cousins, Nathaniel and Brandon Morris and Koty Gray. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Carey N. Morris, Jack G. Root, Lewis and Sylvia Gray. Kara was a member of Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren and was employed at Woodfired Oven in Grottoes. Kara was able to give the gift of life by being an organ donor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren with Pastor George Yocum officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so for her daughter, Grace’s education in c/o Patsy Root, 120 Mt.
