Recently I have come to understand that my marriage is being watched. Other people, beginning with my children, are watching how I act in marriage. How do I talk to their Mother? How do I handle myself when not in their Mothers presence? I realized my marriage provided a great way to minister to others. I have the opportunity to share my marriage with others. Realizing this and having witnessed, up close and personal, the devastation that happens when a couple divorces, I am encouraged to be even better than just saying “no” to divorce in my marriage. My prayer is that I encourage marriages, that I relate to their struggles which are typically similar to mine, and show them they can still make it and be happy through it all. Amen.
