Recently, my son Luke’s basketball tournament team, “the 76ers,” played extremely well in the Lakeside Tournament. The 76ers were down three players for the tournament so my expectations for the team to be successful were minimal. The 76ers surprised us all in that they defeated Lake Oswego, West Linn and Wilsonville. The final game of the tournament for the championship was against another undefeated team, Lakeridge. The 76ers led the whole game against Lakeridge until the final seconds of the game, and they lost by one free-throw. Coach Michaelis and I were proud with how the team competed in this tournament to finish second place. Great job 76ers!
