Recently, president Obama signed the spending bill HR 933 into law. Buried in the fineprint of this law (in section 735) was the Farmer Assurance Provision (in other words, "the Monsanto Protection Act"). This bill states that even if future research finds GMO or GE seeds to cause significant health problems like cancer & other diseases, that the federal courts can do nothing about it, & will not have the power to stop their spread, use or sales. We can no longer depend on "elected" officials to truly represent the best interest of WE THE PEOPLE. Most elected officials are merely puppets on a string & represent the special interests of corporations.
