Recently read a very insightful article by Christopher Cantwell. I encourage you to all read it and recognize the powerful role debate plays in shaping not just the quality of our views, but whether or not our future will be one inherent of slavery or freedom. There are many of us who differ in philosophy of government or the tactics best suited to weaken this violent institution, and that’s fine. I hope that you can take this moment as an opportunity to reflect on a common belief we all share: That government is too powerful and its power must be reduced. This goal is what unites us, regardless of our disagreement and internal strife. Embrace the common ground we share people, if we can force the argument of shrinking or abolishing government to be the only acceptable outcomes, those of us on one side of that argument will end up getting their way. And although I myself personally want to see government destroyed completely, and would be disappointed to see this not occur and only have its powers significantly reduced, I would still be happier to see it shrink than to watch it continually expand. As long as we’re having this conversation and bringing over more and more others to the debate table, our future is only going to include more freedom, not less of it. I see this as a pretty amazing thing, and I hope that you do too. Thank you Christopher Cantwell for all that you have done and will continue to do for the cause of being free. I encourage all of you who share the goal of independence from peaceful slavery to share this article as it is a very important conversation.
