Recently someone very close to me lost someone extremely close to them. They were more than a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother they were a best friend. I had the pleasure to meet her more than once and I was always inspired by the strength she showed in living her life despite the limitations caused by her illness. Anyone who knew her admired the courage and resillience she displayed despite the pain and struggles of completing everyday tasks. Sadly after many years of ill health Georgina Mallen lost her fight and lung disease. As some, maybe none, of you may know I am taking part in Tough Mudder in Edinburgh and I see no better way to honour her memory than to raise money for a charity which was very close to her heart, The British Lung Foundation. Every penny rasied will go to fund vital research into new treatments and cures, campaign for positive change in the nations lung health and provide hope and support to those affected by lung disease.
