Recently , the case of a kid came up who injured himself and now has to undergo a nerve grafting surgery which costs about 80- 90k. The kid has already lost his father and his mother did not have enough money to save her child. She approached NSS BITS Family a few days ago for help and the NSS team took it upon itself to help them. BITSians were appealed to help in the cause and a very good response was recorded. Today when juniors came to my room to collect the money I had promised to contribute , I saw a list of BITSians donating very generously for this cause. As a result of it , we might well be able to save the child. That , for me , was the best gift any mother could get on Mothers day. Cheers to the spirit of NSS, BITS Pilani and BITsians. Happy Mothers day !
