Recently, the news broke that the Hemp Sensation Gis and rash guards from fight wear label Submission Fight Co did not contain any hemp. We posted that story and today we spoke to and have received a statement from Shakib, the owner of Submission FC. Here it is including the next steps for customers. Have a read: In an effort to maintain our integrity, we can no longer claim the hemp status. We have had lab tests done recently on our “hemp” gis and the results showed that in fact it had 0% hemp in the material. For this we do apologize and take full responsibility. We built our business with good intentions and it is unfortunate that our Pakistani supplier was not honest with us about the true fabric blends. We are taking this matter very seriously and will be making some big changes in the way we operate. Lab testing all products, frequent factory inspections and even researching the possibilities of making some of our products here in the United States is just the start. Right now our main focus is to take care of all previously unsatisfied customers and we will have our hands full with this for some time. With only 2 people who make up our company, we have close to a thousand emails to respond to and have been working crazy hours to attend to them all.
