Recently upgraded my contract with Vodacom at the Vodacom 4U store in Gardens Centre under the pretense by a staff member called Tahir, that i would be able to port my number over from Virgin (my other contract) NO PROBLEM.I have had that same number since 1996 and use it for business and personal.The store owner refuses to help me on the grounds that it wasnt on the contract I am now expected to pay R7000 to cancel my contract and start a new one that can then be ported instead of the store just canceling it and doing so themselves.They are arguing that the porting was not discussed because the staff member did not put it onto the contract (their mistake) and REFUSE to help me because THEY don not want to pay the R7000 OR help the customer to resolve the problem because it will take a bit of paperwork and cost them commission. I am forced to buy pre paid airtime to do business or make any calls,receive e-mails etc etc which costs me an additional amount on top of the R499 i already pay on contract but cant use. If there is anybody out there that has had similar problems and would like to print a free banner for me to put up outside the Garden Center, Please contact me.Otherwise happy to print it myself.If it worked for Cell C,it will hopefully work for me. These big companies that take advantage of the little people that pay their way MUST end.I hear people have similar problems with being overcharged for Data.Sick of this.I have even contacted a supervisor at Vodacom HQ,Been redirected to 2 different stores 4 times.Costing me valuable time and money.
