Record of Proceedings Sedgwick Town Board Meeting February 12, 2014 Members Present Alan Otsuka; Peggy Raymond; Jeanie Tarver; Gena Kinoshita; Shirley Salyards Employees Present: Rhonda Jones/ Town Clerk Guest Present: No guest present The Sedgwick Town Board met in special session at the Town Hall February 12, 2014. A quorum was verified and the meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Mayor Otsuka. Ordinance #02-2014 Ordinance #02-2014 was introduced and discussed. This ordinance enacts an occupation tax on retail marijuana cultivation. Gena moved to set an occupation tax at a rate of $100.00 per sale on retail cultivated marijuana. Peggy seconded the motion. Roll call vote; motioned carried. Jeanie-Yes Shirley-Yes Gena-Yes Peggy-Yes Troy-Absent Gena moved to set the maximum amount of tax increase at $1,000.000.00 for the first fiscal year, on retail cultivated marijuana. Jeanie seconded the motion. Roll call vote; motioned carried. Jeanie-Yes Shirley-Yes Gena-Yes Peggy-Yes Troy-Absent Shirley moved to adopt Ordinance 02-2014. Jennie seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried. Trash Trucks Charles Toyne offered to junk the two trash trucks that are no longer in service and pay the town 10% of what he is paid for the salvaged parts. Peggy moved to give Charles Toyne the two trash trucks that are not in service for 10% of what he is paid for the salvaged parts. Jeanie seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried. Jeanie moved to adjourn the meeting. Shirley seconded the motion. Voice vote; motioned carried.
