Recycle those plastic forks! Those recycled plastic forks become good support stakes in helping to keep a large leaf in the upright position during propagation. Simply place the fork behind the leaf to support it in the manner illustrated in the photo. Note: Ideally, I would have inserted the fork as I propagated the leaf and I would have inserted the fork deeper into the mixture, leaving the points of the fork level with the top of the leaf. My leaf needed a little assistance to keep it from toppling over so this tip came in handy. Thank you to the Russian and Ukraine African Violet enthusiasts who shared this tip in a video. :)
