Refinishing stocks on H&R .223 and 870. went with the walnut look on the .223, really accents the tigers eye and the I used a technique to age wood, gives it that old weathered look with the 870. no stain on 870, just vinegar and steel wool solution then gloss coats. ive got a 1940 Western Field shotgun to do for a buddy coming up, thought id try it on my own first! many more gloss finish coats to go but what do ya think? HONEST OPINIONS!!!! (first time tryin this) will post before and after pics when completed!!
