Reflecting on my life, my work, etc. It is close to Ramadan and this year I go into it grateful for all I have given to me by Allah. Now I take into Ramadan some burdens (mostly knowing some things I wish I did not know about how cruel some people can be in our community). As I reflect I am becoming more determined to continue my personal fight and to help build the Baitul Salaam Network, Inc. to the level that by 2017 we can pay at least four to five people full-time salaries (not stipends), have a full-time shelter that sleeps up to 24 people at a time and an office that is at least 750 square feet, in shaa Allah. Enough money to buy up to $500 in food per week for the Islamic Food Pantry to distribute, in shaa Allah. All of this is possible if we can just learn to work in groups. If we can learn to follow the Quran and Sunnah and be dedicated to serving humanity, in shaa Allah. I keep praying and take this prayer into Ramadan this year, in shaa Allah.
