Reflection: I love the true spirit of Christmas. Too much focus is on the perfect Christmas, the perfect gift, perfect anything, when the focus should be with the ones you love, the people that love you unconditionally, family- blood or found. We should take this time to breathe deeply, slow down, appreciate our older family members. Why is there always dissension at the holidays? Because there is too much expectation, instead of acceptance. We are different, people dont inherently change. We need to remember why we loved in the first place. It is such a heavy burden to expect ONE person to make us happy. We set ourselves up for failure by doing so. We have to first be happy ourself I think, before we can be happy with someone else. Love, give, share, instead of expecting, demanding. Thats it for today. Those lifetime movies, get me every time.
