Reflections: What friends are for We cannot share our thoughts with someone who is narrow-minded in a sense that he/she embodies the negative aspects of the personality that he/she possesses. Therefore, a human being is ready to divulge some of his/her secrets or problems only to someone who does grasp the concept of friendship and brotherhood. A good friend should treat people equally as he/she liked to be treated so. In actual fact, a hypocrite is eager to take advantage of others in order to achieve his/her goals by showing a complete dishonesty towards those who help him/her. As a matter of fact, that golden bond of friendship is broken up because there is no reciprocal love or self-sacrifice which is a bridge that we have to cross in order to beautify the lives of every human being whether s/he is poor or rich; bearing in mind that the yardstick of choosing a good buddy is not only through his/her attractive physical appearance but instead s/he must be modest, lovable, and trustworthy. Our spiritual dream is to find a humane, gentle being with whom we will be able to deepen our knowledge about the secrets of how to live our life without harming ourselves or someone else. Man has to cherish every moment of his/her life since the train of death will without doubt reach the station on time. Accordingly, when we encounter an angelic being, we have to do all we can to preserve him/her because a good friend becomes a rare pearl nowadays; this is really due to the indifference that everyone shows towards the Others. What makes it ironic is that some people do behave badly as if they are the masters of slaves, but life cannot be lived with no harm from these vermin since it is the law of God by which He purifies the heavenly souls from the satanic ones. We are innocent creatures who should give birth to all the aspects of sincerity, faithfulness, and pure love, to name a few. We should redesign our own world by embedding the feelings of devotion and letting the white doves scatter their seeds of mercy to enlighten its dwellers. Once upon a time, while a young man was eating a sandwich, he saw a poor cat staring at him with its red eyes. Suddenly, he stopped eating and he endeavored to give it that sandwich. When it had finished eating, the cat looked at him with a smiling face and total satisfaction. It walked for a while then it stopped and looked at him deeply, what a wonderful cat and a bizarre situation! Let our hearts get rid of all the feelings of abhorrence and melancholy, Let them emit instead all the soft angelic characteristics, Free them from selfishness and nourish them with loyalty, And adoration of all the faithful friends that we are in dire need of them.
