Regarding the widespread panic and reactions occurring that have resulted from the Islamic State remember this; we have never lived in a time where our country has been more secure, more culturally diverse and had more religious freedom. Despite our differences, the values we all share are remarkably similar. Finding a way to remind one another of this should be at the forefront. Regarding climate change and the state of our planet remember this; there have never been so many people devoted to finding solutions that not only combat environmental and ecological sustainability but are also devoted to finding innovative measures that limit the negative economic impacts that will now inevitably occur as a result of the coming shift in the way we will all live. Finding a way to remind one another of this should be at the forefront. Regarding gender inequality we have never lived in a time where there have been so many men ready to fight to see the women they love get to live the lives they desire, even at the cost of their own masculine identity. Finding a way to remind one another of this should also be at the forefront. We still live in a world rich with hope.
