Regional Music Magazine - Review for Avit Blues Band Cusworth festival Aug. 2013. Next on the running order was the Avit Blues Band. I had previously seen members of this Band amongst the crowd Toe tapping along with the rest of us and so was surprised to see them up on Stage. Avit are, In my opinion one of the most exciting Blues Bands I have heard in a long time. From their Album " Where Blues Meets Rock " they gave us Along for the Ride, Hammer and a Nail, Stoop Down and Midnight Train. This Group comprising of Clive Johns ( Drums ), Nathan ferguson ( Bass ), Matt Ferguson (Lead Guitar) and Dave Bronson who is a vocalist of the highest order are all Musicians who have seriously paid their dues, touring constantly in different Bands. Their enthusiasm for their Set was infectious and they had Cusworth Hall Rocking ! They informed us they were going to stay for the rest of the Festival and not to be shy in approaching them for a chat. I took advantage of that offer and can confirm that not only are they Brilliant musicians they are genuinely nice blokes:
