Regional Transport Authority meet at Doda DODA, JANUARY 18- To provide adequate and hassle free transport facility to the people living in different parts of the District, a meeting of Regional Transport Authority Doda (RTA) was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Doda Mr. Mubarak Singh to issue road permits of various types of passenger vehicles. Assistant Regional Transport Officer Doda Mr. Azhar Amin Zargar, besides other members of RTA attended the meeting. During the meeting Route permits cases of 185 passenger vehicles including 130 Contract Carriage/ Taxi/ Maxi Cabs, 34 Contact Carriage (Auto Rickshaw 2+1) and 21 Stage carriage Mini Buses/ Tata Magic were taken up in the meeting. During the meeting DDC impressed upon the Drivers to follow traffic rules / norms for the safety and security of the passengers. He said as the District is prone to accidents, strict implementation of Traffic rules and norms is required for eradicating the menace of mishaps. DDC also enjoined upon the driver community to ensure better and healthy condition of their vehicles to prevent any mechanical / technical fault during journeys which ultimately help in reducing mishaps and saving lives.
