Regular checks between your dogs paw pads and between the toes is really important! The hair in those areas can quickly and easily matt up with dirt, sand etc into very hard uncomfortable matts.....much like having rocks between your toes :-/ ouch! See the pics of a paw with really hard big matt balls and after I have removed them. If you have had your dog down at the beach or river or out for walks on unsealed surfaces, rinsing their feet when you get home can help prevent the grit encouraging matting and skin irritation. Regularly running your fingers between their toes and pads to check will prevent your dog alot of discomfort! If you do find matting in those areas do give us a call or pop in we will happily take care of it for you no appointment necessary. Please do not attempt to use scissors in those areas.
