Rejection is a spirit that I see prevalent throughout the functionality and movements of many in the body of Christ and can stem from issues as far back as childhood for some. If not dealt with, rejection will have a person seeking attention and/or love in all the wrong places. They will constantly have re-occurring situations in their lives that brings attention to themselves and some (but not all) have begun to embrace their frailties OR a victim mentality because it brings them the attention from others that they so desperately desire and feel as though they need. It causes a false sense of satisfaction coming from people, places or things that really DO NOT have the ability to satisfy the hurt that may be felt as a result of the rejection that they have encountered. If gone unattended to, rejection can become a governing authority in a persons life and cause them to enter an unhealthy pattern of making poor choices. If we find ourselves dealing with rejection, wisdom says we should CONFESS IT so that we may begin the process of BREAKING the stronghold that it may have developed in our lives. Rejection can only keep us thinking AND functioning as a victim, feeling sorry for ourselves OR blaming others for our unfortunate situations IF we allow it too! Let this be the day that you decide to WALK IN freedom APART FROM the captivity of rejection (for those who may be struggling with it.) Learn from it but move past it. In Jesus name!
