Rejoice in the Lord! Then the people of Israel - the priests, the Levites and the rest of the exiles - celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy. Ezra 6:16 Many people associate worship with despondency and habit. Through Christ, however, God invites you to receive the fullness of life that He offers each of us. As you turn to Him you become increasingly aware of His life-giving Spirit at work within you. Seemingly unattainable goals are suddenly within your reach; adversity does not overwhelm you because in Him, you find the strength to overcome it; newly found confidence replaces your nervous pessimism. Day by day your faith grows stronger. Worship should be a joyful experience. Open yourself to the Holy Spirit and He will raise you from despondency to joy in Christ. Prayer O Holy Spirit, come into my life and fill me with the joy of the Lord. Amen. Have a Spirit filled Friday family and friends.
